bfgads_120x600 This holiday has been celebrated on the first Monday of September since 1894, but had been observed in some places before that day as a result of a campaign by an early organization of workers called the Knights of Labor. Its purpose is to honor the nation's working people. In many cities the day is marked by parades of working people representing the labor unions. Those who do not parade, usually picnic on the grass or spend the day by their favourite occupation. Most Americans consider Labor Day the end of the summer, and the beaches and other popular resort areas are packed with people enjoying one last three-day weekend.

Yes, he did, but the radiated power level was quite fklarny scary/dangerous, and probably would be banned today, not only because of the risk to human life, but because of the massive interference it would have with everything electronic. back then we didn't all have cellphones and pacemakers, and TV's and Laptops...
