Human race is strangely attracted to the stories whre you can go back in time and fix something in the past. I guess, it is our strong desire to be able to control our lives even when we've already failed or made a mistake. Anyways, in Redemption Cemetery: Salvation of the Lost Collector's Edition, you are to fix somebody else's past to rotect your present and future.The game takes you to a spooky cementery as you ride on a subway. The place looks abandoned and ceepy, but it is still attractive and interesting to explore. But the reason you are there is not to enjoy the trip, you are to help the lost souls there. A strange lady form a different world urges you to do that having kidnapped your dog. It is up to you now to go and fix some of the things in the past if you want to get out and get back to your normal life.

When I was a child, I remember to bother my Mom to read a bedtime story every night, though she was even more sleepy after work. Nowadays new mobile devices make the task easier. As you come back home you find your advanced offspring estimating a new app she has just installed on your tablet. If the situation sounds familiar, than interactive kids books is the option. One of my last findings is The Elephant's Child, a dubbed interpretation of the famous fairy-tales by Rudyard Kipling. The application is actually a 20-page picture book full of different animations. Thus, apart of reading the text at the page bottom, a child may also tap the characters and the background image. 300+ animations promise almost never-ending discoveries and at least a couple of quiet months. Lost Souls: Enchanted Paintings is another release into the hidden object/adventure genre. The game would then fall into the category of the more light games of this genre, rather than the creepy ones with many horror scenes. The story of the game begins with a mom and her son being delivered and strange package. When they unpack it it turns out to be a painting. They have no idea who sent it, but the son wants it to hang in his room. That same night he is being kidnapped by the very painting. The mom is desparate to find her son. Police and FBI were not very helpful, but a fortune teller provides a way for her to try and resque him. So that's when her journey begins. The journey will spread over several paintings. Each of the paintinf is like a different world, where you are to fix whatever demage was caused by the evil wizzard. |

A Vampire Romance: Paris Stories is one of the latest releases to the hidden object genre. Having played this game I feel like I made a trip to the past due to the way the game looked and played. The story reminds a bit the Twilight movie story. In this game you play as a young girl who comes to Paris to study art. There she meets this mysterious guy, and as you can guess from the title, things get romantic but complicated. So if Twilight story wasn't enough for you, you can also enjoy this version of the girl-meets-vampire story. Now I have to explaain why I said before that it felt like I travelled back in time. The game basically consists of good old hidden object levels and mini-games of different kinds. There is also a part with iteractive searches, but it isn't that big part of the game, and it isn't that challenging too. You don't have to think hard where to use what and how to get somewhere. Everything is pretty easy here. |
