Attention! Attention! All the hidden object puzzles adventure genre fans, your help is needed to save a town. Once again you are to kind of stand between the worlds, or rather dimentions to save the day in Dark Dimensions: City of Ash. But you know you should expect it from almost every new release if you are really a fan of this genre. Your family has disappeared a while back in the past and you have been studying the area of dark dimentions hoping to find the anwers to your questions. And suddenly you find yourself in one of those dark dimentions where the citizens of a town in California are trapped. A vulcanic eruption caused that and you need to watch out for another eruption as you are trying to save the trapped souls.
The hidden object/adventure genre is assosiated with mystery, ghosts, somebody missing, abandoned places etc. And Dark Dimensions: City of Fog is just so totally about it. Everything about this game makes it even more perfect. You will play a lot of hidden object levels. They are fun for several reasons. For one, the items belong to a location. There isn't too much of clutter from nowadays. Another thing that I enjoyed was that some of the items, sometimes half of them, take you to interact with some other items. That is not new, but it's usually one or two items like that, not half of them. That added more challenge to that.
From Daily Magic Productions, the makers of the Dark Dimensionsquadrilogy, comes the next chapter of this amazing tale. Dark Dimensions: Homecoming Collector's Edition is the fifth installment of a series that is likely to stretch out for years to come. If you enjoyed the previous four Dark Dimensions games, then you will absolutely love this one. Fasten your seatbelt, because this is going to be a ride to a whole new dimension that you weren’t expecting. When you were younger, your parents were investigating a mansion in the chilling Whispering Hollows, when they disappeared suddenly.
Dark Dimensions: Somber Song Collector's Editionis a pretty nifty hidden object puzzle adventure game. The game is interesting and beautiful and challenging and full og fun things in the extras. It’s the one-year anniversary of a fire at a music school that killed seven children. There’s a black smoke monster that comes and goes throughout the game and interacts with you and the environment. It’s an eerie and exciting concept. If you like spooky, then you’ll love the graphics on this game. The innocence of a children’s music school is a great backdrop for an evil smoke monster. There is a musical theme to the game with ten hidden music sheets throughout that reveal bits of information about the calamity of the Dark Dimension. The sounds are just unnerving.
Things don't usually get much better or easier. The progression is usually the other way around. If you first had to save the town from the fog, now the danger is wax. Dark Dimensions: Wax Beauty is a really dark (I'm talking about the graphics here) game with an unexpected end. The story is complicated. You will have to deal with it on your own. You are to help a beauty queen. The mystery of the person who is a real danger to the town is for you to solve. The characters you are to meet in this game are bit strange. Everyone has their dark sides so to say.
Dark Heritage: Guardians of Hope is one of the recent releases that falls into the hidden object puzzle adventure genre perfectly. The game game has everything it should game play wise and it telsl you another horror story with you being the only one able to save them all. The game starts out very impressive. The openning scene is very well done with using real film and actors. You were summoned to an island by your favorite collage professor. That sounds like a great opportunity for you, but only until you actually get to the island and find out that the professor had disappeared and the whole island is being driven crazy by a madman who kills its residents
Dark Manor: A Hidden Object Mystery is a place you go on Halloween or any other day if you a fan of dark horror stories. The game is full of ghostly characters and spooky rooms and places. The story of this game is not very clear. You find yourself in this old strange manor with some very creepy characters. You do get to collect things and build things and earn more gold and try to decorate your buildings to keep it going. This game is good for those who are not really interested in who, what, and why. There clearly is a lack of story behind all the actions.
This game is based on the novel by H.P. Lovecraft. Dark Mysteries: The Soul Keeper features a dark mysterious story that fits the genre of hidden object puzzle adventure games perfectly. The game's graphics and gameplay go hand in hand with the story creating a truly creepy atmosphere. You are summoned to this island where an evil spirit is murdering people. The souls of the people are a way to be immortal for the spirit. You need to stop this before it is too late for the citizens and you.
