Azada series has been first introduced long ago. It has witnessed some of the changes in the genre and adopted some of them as well. Azada: In Libro Collector's Edition continues the tradition of the series being a nicely polished puzzle adventure game. This time around you are told by a notary that you inherited property from some relatives in Prague. Now you have to go there to actually receive it, but the notary disappears leaving you on your own to get into the house.Who do you think you meet next? Yes, Titus is there to tell you that Azada is in danger again. Here is where your journey begins.
Today is the day when you, the hidden object puzzle adventure genre funs, have a chance to enjoy another great game. Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen follows the events of the old fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen that fits the Christmas season perfectly. This game is one of those that will satisfy the requirements of a gamer who has seen way too many games of this genre. It is obvious that lots of work has been put into it. The game has a fair amount of hidden object levels and is also full of all kinds of puzzle to solve along the way, which is a part of the genral quest.
Today's release should please all the hidden object adventure fans. Strange Cases: The Secrets of Grey Mist Lake adds another game to the Strange Cases series. The game is all about the mystical and paranormal again, but it is very polished again too. This time around you join and her friend on their journey to a strange town with some legends. The legends say that there is a mist that is able to come down on the town and trap the whole place and its citizens, making them all disappear. Well most of the legends have their roots and they don't just pop up in the minds of people. This one proves to be true when Claire's friend disappears after encountering a ghost. That ghost girl on the road was the first one of many they are to interact with.
Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek is one of the games which the more experienced gamers and the fans of this genre in particular are looking for. The game is a perfect example of the best that you can get in the adventure/hidden object genre today. As it is most appreciated today the game doesn't tell you the core of the story right from the very beginning. You get a little bit to start with, then you have enough to start playing. And as you proceed, you get more bits of the story. The game offers you a great number of hidden object scenes, much interactive exploring to do, and also some quite challenging puzzles to solve.
Another collector's edition release is right before us to explore. Twisted Lands: Insomniac Collector's Edition is a new hidden object/adventure game covered in a totally creepy atmosphere and full of mysteries for you to uncover. You are going to be a part of a dark story. The game starts off telling you about a woman that got into a car crash. The next thing you know is that she finds herself in a hospital that doesn't seem that safe to be in. The game has too modes depending on the level of the difficulty that you want. The more experienced gamers might want to choose the expert mode to add the challenge.
If you played The Secret of Margrave Manor and Margrave Manor 2: Lost Ship, you will be more than pleased to play Margrave: The Curse of the Severed Heart - amazing sequel! Frankly speaking I didn't like previous games very much, but this one touched me a lot!
The beginning of the game seems to be pretty standard: Edwina Margrave is talking on the phone to her boyfriend, while driving to the cottage, where her parents died, to find out the cause of her parents' mysterious death. But after coming to the mansion she meets volatile landlady, who seems to know some secrets about the house...
The hidden object/adventure genre is assosiated with mystery, ghosts, somebody missing, abandoned places etc. And Dark Dimensions: City of Fog is just so totally about it. Everything about this game makes it even more perfect. You will play a lot of hidden object levels. They are fun for several reasons. For one, the items belong to a location. There isn't too much of clutter from nowadays. Another thing that I enjoyed was that some of the items, sometimes half of them, take you to interact with some other items. That is not new, but it's usually one or two items like that, not half of them. That added more challenge to that.
I'm not sure what kind of group is the primary audience for the games like this. It is not the first game in the series. So if you have played the earlier games, you should know what to expect this time. Love Story: The Beach Cottage is an adventure game wrapped into a story of an old woman. This time around the game introduces you to a woman who is responsible for fulfilling her father's last will. The events are happening around an old beach cottage of the family. Something bad happened there many years ago, but now she should go back there to finish some business. Everything in that place reminds her of the past and her first love story. Going back there is almost like to live it all through again. But this might not seem such a bad idea afterwards because it will give her a chance to finally let go the events of the past.
