You play as a novelist who is looking for a great story for another novel. He thinks that he has found something interesting enough, but he needs to investigate that. Silent Nights: The Pianist looks good and feels good as you play it. You play as a great pianist, whose sister was kidnapped by an anciant organisation. You and your sister are very talented at playing piano. Now, as you arrive to the concert to support your sister, you lean that she is now might be used for somebody else's purposes, and not necessarily good ones.

When I was a child, I remember to bother my Mom to read a bedtime story every night, though she was even more sleepy after work. Nowadays new mobile devices make the task easier. As you come back home you find your advanced offspring estimating a new app she has just installed on your tablet. If the situation sounds familiar, than interactive kids books is the option. One of my last findings is The Elephant's Child, a dubbed interpretation of the famous fairy-tales by Rudyard Kipling. The application is actually a 20-page picture book full of different animations. The game has a great story of love and courage and danger, that is wrappped into really beautiful graphics. You play as this young brave man, whose loved one is in danger. Facing this great challenge for their future marriege and lives, he finds the courage to stand up against so called Faithless Ones. I believe this is a great story, and it is also perfect for the games of this genre. |

Mystery Trackers: Black Isle is a nicely put together hidden object adventure puzzle game that most of this genre fans will enjoy. You are sent to investigate the case of a missing journalist, who began to investigate the mystery behind Black Isle. The island was struck by an earthquake leaving the island deserted. But the whole situation seems strange and controlled by a hooded shadowy person. |

Fantastic Creations: House of Brass is another release into the hidden object adventure puzzle genre. The story is mysterious, but not in a dark way, but in a more geeky kind of a way. The game is beautiful in its look and play. You happen to be in a house full of clockwork wonders. The goal is to escape from it from the underground to the very top of it. You are able to do it with the help of the eccentric inventor. The puzzles and minigames are very easy and skippable; unfortunately they are by no means original. |

Those who spend lots of time playing hidden object puzzle adventure games know how many of them are actually released every once in a while. This creates this anticipation and hope to see something innovative in every new game of the genre. Surface: Mystery of Another World might be one of those for some, I think. Surface: Mystery of Another World is a game with not so surprisingly new story, but it does stand out with the intro and the general presentation of the game. |
