A friend of mine once said that her devotion to chess was somewhat of love at first sight. And seeing her involved into Mate in One Move: Free Chess Puzzle was what drew my attention to this game.
Mate in One Move is actually a free collection of chess problems with the clear objective and nice visual and music surrounding.  Without no special effects, the game maintains an atmosphere of a comfortable lounge with wooden chess-boards on leather-covered tables. As for the gameplay, it was a surprise as well. Frankly speaking, I'm not a chess addict. But knowing the general movement rules I believed that making one and the only move wasn't a big deal. I was wrong. As you progress, more figures appear on the board, making each new problem a challenge to your logic and self. Though you are given few hints at the start, they appeared not enough for me to complete the free pack of 27 chess puzzles, nothing to say about the additional packs I was bound to purchase. Yeah, I got addicted. Fortunately, the developers have foreseen it, and more hints are available to unlock as well.

As my experience proves, Mate in One Move: Free Chess Puzzle appeals to both amateurs and professionals, and should be a good practice for the beginners and children who are familiar with the basic chess rules.The achievements system would be encouragement to think of your every try. Having spent a long while to receive all gold trophies, I now feel like leaving it on the tablet and return to the game in a week or two.

Not only because every solved problem comforts your self-esteem, but because this board game has completely overthrown by attitude to chess.
