Greatest Artists: Jigsaw Puzzle is one of those games that stand out among most of the games of their genre. Even though the game’s meant to make your mind work on solving the jigsaw puzzles, it also gives great pleasure to your eyes and ears. Yes, it is based on this often used and played so many times kind of puzzles, but he puzzles are more like a background for those beautiful masterpieces.
Royal Envoy 2 is the sequel to one of the best strategy games of the last year. The game has something in common with all of the games of this genre, something familiar from the previous release, and something unique to this release. You are going to save the kingdom of Middleshire from many problems by managing the resources available to you. If you played the first game, you might be happy to see Cedric. If not, I'm sure you won't be disapponted either. If you are a fan of this genre, you might not be able to get as many new releases as the fans of the hidden object game genre, but you are kind of lucky this time. And the reason is because I don't think I have ever played a hidden object game that would last at least like 10-15 hours.
If you have been waiting for a dark and mysterious hidden object puzzle adventure game, Dark Strokes: Sins of the Fathers is right here for you. The game has a great story of love and courage and danger, that is wrappped into really beautiful graphics. You play as this young brave man, whose loved one is in danger. Facing this great challenge for their future marriege and lives, he finds the courage to stand up against so called Faithless Ones. I believe this is a great story, and it is also perfect for the games of this genre.
One of the places you constantly end up in as a hidden object puzzle adventure gamer is a strange spooky island with strange inhabitants. That's the case in Redemption Cemetery: Grave Testimony Collector’s Edition. Once again you have to find your way out of the island. And just like it is often in real life the way out is through. As you try to get out of the island full of lost souls you meet one of them, who tells you that you will only be able to get out back home if you help three of the lost souls. Now your way home lies through history itself. This game is very well done. The audio-visual presentation is polished to every detail. The graphics are beautiful, well, the dark kind of beautiful. The voice over is perfect and the soundtrack is excellent.
Grim Tales: The Wishes Collector's Edition is another great Grim Talesgames. The game's story is interesting and the general atmosphere is immersive. You will have to save a boy and solv many puzzles and enjoy the beautiful graphics and really nice voice over. Your sister's son is fading away like a flower. He ages right before her eyes. Something strange is happening to him, and you are the only hope for her. It is interesting to be a part of this story and unravel the true reasons for his bad conditions.
Millennium Secrets: Roxanne's Necklace is one of the latest releases in the hiden object/adventure genre. The game just doesn't have all it takes to earn 6 stars, but it does earn 5 offering the most out what it should. One of the great things about this game is the story. You get a little bit from the past, then some pieces of information from the recent present. But it takes you quite a while to actually see how it all connected and what had happened. This is one feature that I enjoy in the games of this genre. And Millennium Secrets: Roxanne's Necklace uses its story perfectly to keep you interested long enough.
A Vampire Romance: Paris Stories is one of the latest releases to the hidden object genre. Having played this game I feel like I made a trip to the past due to the way the game looked and played. The story reminds a bit the Twilight movie story. In this game you play as a young girl who comes to Paris to study art. There she meets this mysterious guy, and as you can guess from the title, things get romantic but complicated. So if Twilight story wasn't enough for you, you can also enjoy this version of the girl-meets-vampire story. Now I have to explaain why I said before that it felt like I travelled back in time. The game basically consists of good old hidden object levels and mini-games of different kinds. There is also a part with iteractive searches, but it isn't that big part of the game, and it isn't that challenging too. You don't have to think hard where to use what and how to get somewhere. Everything is pretty easy here.
In this world of new releases every few days in every genre, it is always nice to have a kind of a break with something unusual. This time Jewel Quest Mysteries: The Seventh Gate is going to be that break offering a nice mix gem-swapping and hidden object searches. This is not the first time iWin treats us with this genre combination. Jewel Quest Mysteries: The Seventh Gate is a follow-up to two other games (Trail Of The Mignight Night and Curse Of The Emerald Tree). In this game Emma is responsible for saving her family, her husband and daughter in Greece. They were brought there by the desire to find out more about some ancient jewel boards. Things get even worse when you learn that a vulcano nearby is just about to erupt.
