Drawn: The Painted Tower - That's It!
It's such a pleasure to get a game of this caliber brought out by the
"Kings" of gaming, and here it is - Drawn: The Painted Tower - the
newest adventure from Big Fish Games Studios, a game with whimsical
story line with enough challenge to keep you interested and not so easy
as to bore you! It reminds MCF or Dream Chronicles series or even the
more recent Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse, but still it's
something unique making you enjoy every hour of it!
Let your creative imagination go and unfold the intriguing story! Which painting would you like to enter?
The
King's Daughter is missing. The young girl was last seen traveling with
an elderly man. Her grief-stricken father turned to stone and the tower
doors have all been locked with cunning magic and it's only you who can
solve the riddles and save Iris to bring back the life into this
deserted kingdom. Iris has a special gift: her paintings become doors
to magical worlds, and the animals can come to life and jump off the
canvas. A villain has ruined the paintings but you can break the curse
little by little restoring them by collecting drawings and sketches. Do
not be afraid! The task is clever and interesting and just challenging
enough!
So,
start the game and find yourself in a game with amazing graphics,
suitable for any blockbuster animation movie. Besides it was just great
having some voice to hear. The options even include the ability to
adjust brightness, the hint system is an absolute dream-come-true and
any minigame can be skipped without penalties, though it's not needed
often as puzzles are easy enough to be figured out. There is a very
good amount of playing time and the potential for replay if you get
stuck. The most of the puzzles involve you into a room to look around
and gather items sparkling when your mouse is hovering over them. Using
common sense, assemble those items into their proper places somewhere
nearby, unlocking therethrough new areas.
The
creativity, imagination, complexity and intricacy in this game
(especially when combined) really draw you in to the game world and
make it an absolute keeper!
One more innovation worth mentioning is that Big Fish didn't give free
trials for their large file games earlier. Now there's a free demo
which is a real plus.
Despite all the pluses and advantages listed above, the game is not
perfect and may cause some irritation if you do not like playing with
occult themes like pentagrams, tarot cards, witches and other magic
things. Of course, there is no intention to make you into the occult,
so take it easy and skip a puzzle if it's annoying. We hope that game
developers will take it into account next time when creating another
masterpiece. Besides lots of graphics will probably make your computer
load slower than usual. But is that a real problem? Unless you don't
have a bite within reach.
You won't find a reinvention of the casual game genre here, still
the game is no doubt worth coming to life on your screen as one of it
shining stars!
