Here is another release filled with interesting characters and challenging gameplay. The Agency of Anomalies: Cinderstone Orphanage is a typical hidden object puzzle adventure game polished in all of its aspects. In this mysterious game you play as an agent of the Agency of Anomalies. Your assignment in this game is to investigate what happened in an orphanage. There was an explosion which led to a fire. After this great fire all the children from the institution have disappeared. The graphics of the game are absolutely gorgeous and detailed and relevant. What you see is accompanied with wonderful voice over that you hear. |

Casual games often use some well known characters or people to attract the audience. It is especially true about the hidden object puzzle adventure genre. And that usually works. This time you get to be involved in Nicola Tesla's project. How cool is that? Tesla's Tower: The Wardenclyffe Mysterytells you a story of how one of the projects of this truly mysterious inventor has gone wrong. And if you are a great mind, you mistakes will also be great. This one took away the color from the world. Now it is basicly your job to fix things in the world since the great mind has disappeared. |

Most of the time the games from the hidden object/adventure genre tend to be full of mysterious events and creepy scenes. Tearstone is like a harmless version of that. You do meet different characters, some of which are dangerous, and you are involved in some kind of mysticism, but it is not scarry at all. So you get to play a friend of a professor. The professor is up to something, some great discovery that he found in the tearstone. You are going to join him in this journey. The story is fun. It might be a bit disappointing for those looking for some murder and FBI investigation. It will definitelly fit for kids because it reminds some fairytale.

The game plot of the PlayFirst's new game Tamara the 13th is based on the stories of witches, villains, magic portals and adventures, of course. A girl, called Tamara McNamara turns out to be a 13th-generation of witch and her family has been hunted by Mad Maggie – the evil that managed to take the heroin's Mom through a portal. So you have nothing to do, but to follow her and try your best to rescue your mother. Tamara the 13th is rather a traditional combo of the puzzle and the hidden object game. And to be honest the puzzles are the best part of the game for sure. |

Tales of Terror: Crimson Dawn is another game in the series of horror story games. Even though this story is not unique at all, it is still a great game. The developers have done a great job to make it enjoyable. The only thing is that it is quite short. Your brother gets kidnapped right before your eyes (Hasn't it happened before?). You only know that a hooded group is responsible for that. But who they are and why they did that are the qeustions to be answered. The game's audio-visual presentation is just perfect. The game has voice overs till the end. Sometimes the story is told by real people in the video cut scenes.

What I think makes agood story is a situation that is either new or old but loved by everyone no matter how many times it is replayed. Tales of Sorrow: Strawsbrough Town tells you a story that I think falls into the latter category and is a great choice for a hidden object puzzle adventure game. You join a couple that celebrates their first anniversary in the town of Srawsbrough. Soon they learn that it was a bad choice for the event. An old lady persuades Melissa to put on an old ring that happens to be cursed. This makes her fall asleep forever. Her husband is now challenged with the finding the way to wake her wife up.

This time the game takes you under water with a mission. Tales of Lagoona - Orphans of the Ocean doesn't look like a typical hidden object game with all the mermaid theme, but it does play like one with all the things to collect and find. The story sets a very noble mission before you. You are to complete the game in order to save an orphanage. The Coral Bay orphanage is in danger of being leveled and turned into a shopping mall. Young mermaid called Isabelle is determined to prevent this from hapenning. She is going to do that by selling the many treasures of the orphanage. So as you can expect you are going to go through many rooms of the place cluttered with all kinds of things. The money from those things can be then spent on the renovation of the orphanage.

Sometimes when our worst fears come true, we can only to gether all our courage and go all the way through. This doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but that is the story behind Tales From The Dragon Mountain. You play as a youg woman who tells you about her childhood memories of her grandmother. One thing in particular is the stories that her grandma was telling her about some fairy creatures. Years later she had a dream about her grandma's house burning. She goes to the place and slowly understands that things are not that simple and some of those creatures from the stories were not that imaginary. Soon you will find that you are the one to fight some dark spirit. |
