Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year - Build your home yourself!
Tycoon games are on the crest of the wave again! The Town of the Year competition welcomes you to take part and help the nominees do their best in Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year from Hipsoft. The second part of the famous Build-a-lot strategy game is out - and already occupying top positions on large portals.
Do you prefer to receive regular, but small income or to get it all at once? It's up to you to choose the strategy!
I think most of you have at least tried the first title of the series - Build-a-lot. And most of those who tried couldn't stop playing. Well, for me it was like this. So I am really happy to tell you about the sequel to our favorite strategy game - Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year.
This time the Mayors of 8 towns taking part in the Town of the Year competition will invite you to complete their projects and help them get the towns ready for the contest. From Maple Creek to View Haven - you are welcome to build the town of your dream! Surely, each Mayor has his own plans and vision of his kingdom development, so your tasks on each level will be absolutely different. But all of them challenging, that's what I can say without doubt!
The game play is basically the same as in the first part - you draft blueprints, construct or buy houses, upgrade them (meet a great new feature - paint the houses in any colour you wish to increase social appeal of the vicinity), repair if necessary, than sell them for profit or demolish if they are no more needed - whatever you like. You will also build parks, shops and other buildings making every neighbourhood much more attractive for citizens.
The main challenge in the game is resource management. To construct a building you need a certain amount of materials and available workers, as well as a blueprint. And each of these costs a certain amount of money, which you can earn by collecting rent or selling your property. And don't forget about land lots - sometimes they also need to be bought. Managing all the resources so that you were able to finish each project in time will require all of your strategic thinking. And I'm sure you got that!
Which is also great, you don't just build it all, your opinion also matters! After completing each stage (that is fulfilling all the wishes of the Mayor of a town) you are asked to rate the town according to how much you liked working in it. And in the end of the game your final vote will determine the destiny of the competition, so try to be objective;)
What else can I say? A great strategy game with great and really addictive game play. And I'm sure those of you who have enjoyed the first part will agree, won't you?
