Cadenza: Fame, Theft and Murder Cadenza: Fame, Theft and Murder Collector's Edition

The Cadenza series from Mad Head Games just got a new addition, Cadenza: Fame, Theft and Murder Collector's EditionThis developer is known for hit series, like Rite of Passage and Nevertales. This new hidden object puzzle adventure game is not going to be a disappointment.

Things take an unexpected turn for you as you meet this stranger Adam who suddenly switches places with you.

Cadenza: Fame, Theft and Murder

This game is an interesting throw back into the 50’s. And not just anywhere, but Los Angeles. So, prepare for some serious rock n’ roll. The game is saturated with the 50’s music industry theme. If you are a fan of the era, you are going to enjoy the game’s setting. You play as a rock n’ roll king. No, not Elvis. You are Michael Vance who is rising to his fame at a great speed.

Cadenza: Fame, Theft and Murder

But things take an unexpected turn for you as you meet this stranger Adam who suddenly switches places with you. He basically traps you into a strange body. And now, you are wanted for murder and chased by the police. To make things even worse, you have limited time to find Adam and get your body and life back. It is not going to be easy, but it is definitely going to be an adventure.

The game’s audio-visual presentation is excellent and reflects the theme perfectly. You are probably going to sing along as you play.

The gameplay offers four modes of difficulty: Novice, Artist, Virtuoso, and Improviser (aka Custom mode). You can adjust the skips and hints from 15-90 seconds. Speaking of time, there is also a clock that reminds you of how much time you still have to find your body. No pressure, of course, but you’d better hurry. You are given a map and a strategy guide to use along the way.

Both the hidden object scenes and the puzzles are thought through very well. The former have some multi step scenes and a few other kinds, some of which are available for replay. The puzzles are fun and different in their challenge level. You get to collect 38 records (plus 8 more in the bonus chapter) and an unclear number of morphing objects. There are 9 achievements to earn and whole lot of media extras to enjoy!

It is an excellent hidden object puzzle adventure game! Check it out for yourself!
