Dark Dimensions: Wax Beauty

Things don't usually get much better or easier. The progression is usually the other way around. If you first had to save the town from the fog, now the danger is wax. Dark Dimensions: Wax Beauty is a really dark (I'm talking about the graphics here) game with an unexpected end.

As to the gameplay, there are two modes: casual, expert. The game as a whole is not very challenging.

Okay the look of the game really justifies the Dark part of the title. The graphics are quite dark and there is not way to help it. So take it or leave it. There is a vry well done voice over though. The music might seem a bit intrusive, but it is more of a personal thing.

The story is complicated. You will have to deal with it on your own. You are to help a beauty queen. The mystery of the person who is a real danger to the town is for you to solve. The characters you are to meet in this game are bit strange. Everyone has their dark sides so to say.

As to the gameplay, there are two modes: casual, expert. The game as a whole is not very challenging. Well, of course, it all depends on the experience that you have. The hidden objects scenes make you interact, you have to find one object to complete another. VERY DARK which makes objects difficult to spot. In my opinion there was just the right amount here. 

Extras are not available until after the game is played. In the casual mode, the sparkles were not overdone, hints and skips steal some time from you. The advanced mode has no sparkles, and there is a longer recharge time for hints and skips. Those are the only 2 settings to make it more hardcore.

Dark Dimensions: Wax Beauty is a nicely pu together hidden object puzzle adventure game. The free trial will help you decide if all the features are acceptable for buying.
