Dreamsdwell Stories - The Magical Town Needs You!

Dreamsdwell Stories is a nice change from all the hidden objects and time-managements with its simple but still challenging puzzle game play and gorgeous graphics.

 

Build a magical town? Piece of cake!

The story of the game very well complements its fairy tale atmosphere. You just meet an old magician who tells you that you are the only one to help him build the town for his friends and when, if you manage to complete the land of Dreasmdwell, a Dragon will come and make all the dwellers happy. That's essentially all I can tell you about this.

But I definitely can tell you much more about the game play. Your main task is to create chains of orbs to make them disappear. The goal for each level is to remove all the golden mountings on the screen within a time limit. To create a chain you you click on orbs in the sequence you want or just click and drag (3 or more, surely). There is no grid, so you can link orbs as you wish provided that no other ones block your move. The longer the chain - the greater the reward!

As to the rewards, for each chain you get some gold coins and some gems depending on its length. The resources are used to build different constructions in the city, which also bring you resources and bonuses later on. You can also upgrade the building you already have once you earn enough money and gems.

Apart from the resources you can also get some bonuses and power-ups, like magical multi-colored spheres that let you link orbs of different colors or explosions that clear part of the field. You will also encounter some obstacles that make the game play much more challenging, like frozen spheres or unbreakable obstacles you just have to circumvent. All of these add enough diversity for you not to get bored.

You can choose between two modes - Adventure and Quick Play depending on what you prefer.

The visuals of the game are really beautiful and perfectly match the magic theme. So, if you are up to puzzle games - try your hand at Dreamsdwell Stories!
