Haunted Legends is one of the popular hidden object puzzle adventure series in the genre. There has been quite a lot of releses into the series, and it is time for another one. Haunted Legends: The Iron Mask Collector's Edition is a new adventure to 17th century France.
The story has been put together in a very interesting way. You need to pay attention to whom you meet and what they say and do to figure out who is behind what.

You find yourself in France during hte reign of King Louis XIV. There have been a number of murders commited by an iron masked person and you are called in as an secret service agent to find the murderer. But you not the only one looking for the guy! Also, you din't think that it's a simple murder case, did you?
The story borrows a lot from the two novels by Dumas. So, you can expect a lot of intrigue because of politics. It doesn't matter what country or era we are in, there a lot of secrets and treason going on the realm of power and politics.

The story has been put together in a very interesting way. You need to pay attention to whom you meet and what they say and do to figure out who is behind what. There are the musketeers, there's a dwarf, there's a lot more people involved into this mysterious story. There is a bonus chapter where you need to escape Paris.
The game's ausio-visuals are great. The scenes are very detailed, realistic, and appropriate for the era. The voice overs are excellent for the characters.

The game has four typical difficulty modes with one custom. You get to adjust the hints and skips to your liking. You get to use a map and a strategy guide.
There are more mini games than hidden object scenes in this game. Both are replayable and vary in styles and difficulty level. You get to collect horseshoes and seals. The former help you purchase things for your horse, and the latter help you open a secret book. There are 12 achievements to earn and whole lot of media extras, like wallpaper, concept art, music, and videos to keep for yourself after the game.
It is a great HOPA game with a wonderfully twisted story and a good challenge!
