The secret to live forever is something that people have been searching for since they began dying. Haunted Legends: The Secret of Life Collector's Edition is claiming that it is found! We'll see if that is really true and also what it takes to get it.

As you try to find your way into the house and mystery, you come across many puzzles and hidden object scenes.

The game is all dark and creepy. It seems that it would be perfect for Halloween, but it is still great even a bit later. It is not something to care about especially if you are a fan of the Haunted Legends series.

The main character tells you about how he got ill and seems to have found the secret cure, the secret of life in this dark and cursed house with a young girl's ghost flying around. There is a purifying ritual that is about to take place for the healers to obtain their reward, the secet of life. But you soon learn that the people behind it might not have your best interest in mind.

The game has three modes of play: Casual, Advanced, Hard, and Custom. As you try to find your way into the house and mystery, you come across many puzzles and hidden object scenes. 

One cool thing about the hidden object scenes is that some of them do not give a list, but rather a narration of part of the story. In every line of what you hear, there is a word in capital letters, and that's what you need to find on the scene. It is such a cool and different kind of interaction. Ten hidden object scenes (plus bonus HOS) and twenty mini-games are replayable.

The puzzles seem to outnumber the hidden object scenes. You need not to forget about morphing objects scattered around and collectibles too. Achievements are going to challenge your skills and make the play time longer. You can also effect the gameplay to a degree because they give you a choice of what to answer in some situations.

The collector edition has quite a lot more to explore and obtain. You will be given a weekly planner, haunted legends and other random facts, grandma's recipes, a strategy guide, and a bonus chapter. Concept art, wallpaper, movies, and soundtracks are are also available as extras.
