Hidden Expedition: The Eternal Emperor Collector's Edition

Eipix Entertainment has just released a new instalment of the Hidden Expedition series. This time around, you are responsible for rescuing your friends dealing with an ancient Chinese mystery. It a great adventure in the wonderful country of China.

The game's story is more than just about the characters and their troubles, it also gives you bits and pieces of history, a little bit of historic fiction. 

Hidden Expedition: The Eternal Emperor Collector's Edition takes you to China to excavate a burial of an ancient emperor Qin. But unfortunately, your colleague's life is in danger. You need to get to the bottom of this mystery in order to rescue the friends and modern day China as well.

This is a very well put together hidden object puzzle adventure game, where you like an Indiana Jones search the tombs and excavation sites. You also find yourself in sophisticated offices sometimes.

The game's graphics are very well done with a lot of details, shades, and colors. All the scenes - indoor and outdoor - are clear and crisp. The music is appropriate to the game's theme and location. You sometimes have an ability to zoom in.

The game's story is more than just about the characters and their troubles, it also gives you bits and pieces of history, a little bit of historic fiction. You get messages that are stored in your electronic device together with map, journal and fact cards.

There are quite a few hidden object scenes that are mostly interactive lists of words, silhouettes,and pictures. All of HOS puzzles have a morphing item in them. Most of the objects are quite easy to find but the morphing objects morph rather fast.

The puzzles are fun and interesting. Most of them are on the easy side. 17 puzzles and 15 HOS are up to replay. There are only 40 collectibles to find. They are 8 looking sings of two dragons. There are 22 achievements to earn and a whole lot of media extras to download: concept art, wallpaper, soundtrack, and a souvenir room. All in all, the game's challenge level does not seem to be very high, but adjusting the mode and skips and hints should help to accommodate a gamer of any level.
