Magic Academy 2 - Welcome Once Again!

This week we are having another game of high quality from Nevosoft - Magic Academy 2! As you may remember it is a series of hidden object puzzles wrapped into the adventure plot. This sequel follows where the forerunner left off. Play as Irene, a student, continuing her magical training and coming to the Academy at the most intriguing moment.

Practise Sorcery Before Halloween Comes!

The story still takes place at the Magic Academy where you are applying for a Junior Councilor position. It will take you a while to prove you are the only one who is worth trust as strange things have been happening at the Academy recently. The Treatise of Light and Darkness was stolen and it was only seen that the thief was wearing a Councillor cloak what makes everybody suspect a Council member of the theft. Who else would need a book that can not be read, and threaten to set the evil forces free? To make things worse, the prime suspect is your own sister. Of course, you can't let it go unpunished, can you?
Irene is not bad at magic search and casting spells, so go on with practising magic, solving numerous tasks and puzzles to guess the riddles of the mysterious events. As you play, you move to different scenes and interact with objects in order to gain access to more inventory items. The genre of the game supposes a variety of hidden object scenes, where you will be asked to find objects by silhouette, classification, or name. From time to time you'll have not only look for items but also to perform simple actions with them (to drag one thing onto another etc), spot the difference between two pictures or play a minigame.

The graphics of the game have significantly changed into less cartoonish and more realistic. Though the graphics are really excellent, it isn't always easy to accomplish your mission. In addition to sparkles which appear each time you touch the right item, quickly rechargeable hints are a good service here. Well, I wouldn't say it works perfectly as sometimes it shows one of the items related to the solution, but not the next in turn one. But it'is an additional challenge for you, isn't it?

In general Magic Academy 2 remains one of the best representatives of the HOG genre, so in all probability you will enjoy it!
