Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier - Back To The West

Sandlot Games have developed and published a sequel of a game that is almost one of a kind. It is because it's not about farming or fashion or mysteries or serving food.

Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier has a different and quite rare setting - you are in a western story...

You are to work out a strategy of making your villages prosperous and your citizens happy.

This sequel is a continuation of the tale we enjoyed in the original game. Again you find yourself in the western lands exploring new territories and developing villages.

In Westward II: Heroes of the Frontier you direct the lives of three heroes: Marion Morrison, Maureen Fitzsimmons and Terrance Stevens.

Your daily tasks are not a lot different from already familiar to you.

You are to gather resources (gold, water, wood etc...), lead your settlers to prosperity and happiness, survive different natural disasters (fire, draught, tornado etc...), opposing the attacks of the bandits.

There is a Sandbox Mode where you can explore a few maps.

The game features the Sandbox Mode where you don't have to go through the quests but you can explore different maps.

In case you run out of those there are some you can download from the Sandlot Games's website.

But even in the usual mode there are up to 20 buildings for you to construct and 30 luxury items and upgrades like a fountain or statue.

You must be careful with your resources because in case you run out of those you may have problems. You may even have to replay the level all over again. The game offers a great tutorial but they still don't give tips on how to keep the resources or happiness stable.

A word should be said about the graphics of the game. In the sequel the game is presented in 3D graphics, which is quite cool. The musiс and sound effects are very appropriate to the general atmosphere.
