Big Kahuna Reef - Underwater Adventure Puzzle for Mac PC
Matching items is now possible even deep under the water. In Big Kahuna Reef you are to dip into sea world and see Hawaiian aquatic life.
Still, in Big Kahuna Reef the main point is the same as in all match-3 games: to burst all the crates and free all the fish by matching tree or more similar tiles.
Swap two adjacent tiles to match thee similar tiles in a row. Once the match is made, the tiles above it will cascade down, often leading to a chain reaction of additional matches. After each successful match the wooden crates behind the tiles break open, setting multicolored fish free.
Mind that matching is to be made before the 10-minute Tiki Totem Timer runs out. Extending game by 3 minutes will cost you a life.
During each matching level you earn points toward adding a new fish to your reef. Each fish comes with a piece of information to help you learn more about it.
Underwater quest is full of obstacles; and the Skeleton Fish of Kamehameha that drops onto the board is the most challenging one.
On some levels skeleton fish will appear on the playing field - if you match three of them, they will reconstruct the cleared crates underneath.
Besides, some crates with fish have multiple locks - they require several matches to break open.
But there are power-ups as well: fish net can be used to delete inappropriate tile which facilitates matching similar items.
With Relaxed Play of the game you won't think of Tiki Totem Timer, while revolutionary multi-player mode introduces the element of competition into the game.
Unlike classical Timed mode, Relaxed game mode suggests no time pressure so that one could enjoy gorgeous playing areas with marine-themed shapes.
Multiplayer game means competing with an opponent trying to make more triplets. Your squares are colored after each match to mark conquered spots; he who has more colored space wins. This mode also allows several gamers to help to clear the same board.
In the Mouse Party mode of Big Kahuna Reef you are allowed to connect more than one mouse for collective fun. And that's not all for surprises: there is a Fish Screensaver including a virtual fish tank, where you can put all the fish you freed by clearing level - just turn off the buttons and enjoy the picture!
Game features Stunning graphics of the playing field: marine atmosphere is preserved in every detail. You are to match items in sea-themed shapes among underwater reefs. But unlike other classical match-3 games, Big Kahuna Reef gameplay is not easy at all: one lacks instructions as he proceeds through multiple obstacles of numerous levels.
