Fiona Finch and the Finest Flowers - Find a
Dream Boyfriend
Now when almost all strategy games
presuppose building, cooking and animal breeding, and simulation goes
hand by hand with time management, Big Fish and 1morebee offer the
players to take a deep breath, make yourself comfortable in an armchair
before you start playing, relax and take pleasure in the simple joy of
life. For in this game money is not the objective. So, enjoy gentle
beauty of various garden flowers and try to indulge the tenderest bloom
in this world which true love is.
Try a time management game without a timer.
Probably it’s the most obvious
distinguishing feature of the title. The developers seem to have finally
understood that players appreciate farming games not for the breathless
rush in their desperate attempt to manage all that rising and feeding
fuss. For those who spend most of their time sitting in the office, for
the dwellers of busy stuffy cities, a farm is a picture of peace and
calm, a fairy-like nook in lose unity with nature. More than that, as
this particular one is virtual, you don’t need to dig the soil with your
own hands, scratch yourself with the deadwood and get rid of painful
splinters. Pure pleasure!
Fiona Finch, the main character you are to play for, tries to overcome a
bitter ordeal – her father’s death. She returns from a far trip and
visits another person, so much dear to her. While searching for a
relief, she gets involved in gardening and even enters the Finest Flower
Garden beauty contest. Now your aim is to turn 7 locations into
beautiful orchards and, perhaps, if you try to cope with the task with
all soul and spirit, the award would appear much more than a cash prize.
But don’t hurry to sigh with regret seeing such modest number of levels
– passing them is not as easy as you may think. The number of
parameters
to estimate your success is rather high – your garden has to
feature the proper variety of species planted, fair blossoming and
enough money in your pocket. As for getting the latter, the authors
turned out rather creative. If you think that in this game you are going
to sell only flowers, you are perfectly wrong. As you progress, the
power-ups you buy for your garden, include fruit trees and vine, so that
among your goods include fruit, juice, jam, raisin and even some
bakery. You may even produce perfumes upon purchasing a special machine.
By the way, your lab in the garden store appear a real magic place.
Here you can (and you will have to) breed new flower species in order to
vary the assortment and, thus, earn more. The results of these
experiments may turn out rather unexpected especially for those who
knows a bit of genetics. For example, two kinds of lilies may engender a
red rose. Nevertheless it makes the game even greater fun.
Still the best way to earn cash is satisfying the demands of some
clients, like making buckets for special occasions. As they bring you
the most profit, these are the only cases whine some kind of timer is
presented to the player. Generally you don't see your customers (they
are supposed to come into your store and leave money there), so, once
you don't manage to cope with the task in time, they will just leave
your garden dispirited. Otherwise to reward your zeal a large range of
various stars, medals and diplomas are provided, so, be proud of
yourself.
While the story mode, which is strongly recommended to start the game
with will
lead you to the cup for your gardening
skills, the free play mode is devoted totally to your unbridled
fantasy. Choose any location and start turning it into a blooming
paradise the way your imagination prompts you. So, believe upon my word,
such creative work won't get you bored in a long while, especially if
you adore farming on your PC screen.
All together the game leaves you a very pleasant impression due to calm
music and relaxing gameplay. Though the graphics may seem a bit of a
child drawings but the flower backgrounds are touchingly beautiful.
Fiona herself is very lovely and waves to you if somehow you forgot that
time is precious when you deal with flowers, thus there's no good
standing idly.
All that makes Fiona Finch and the Finest Flowers a special
simulation game and a dainty that is definitely worth tasting.
