Hidden Wonders of the Depths 2:
Around the World - The Little Crab Is Back!
The beautiful and addictive game Hidden Wonders of the Depths has
recently received a
continuation that features all the advantages of the first part and
offers even more fun!
The home sea is already explored? Time to go farther!
Actually, the game offers no story
at all, which is well compensated by the game play and
graphics value. It's just about your little crab being bored of living
in his home waters
and going global to see seas and oceans all over the world. So you'll
travel underwater to
various spots in all the possible oceans and near all the possible
continents while solving
a wide range of puzzles.
Yes, as you might guess, the vast variety of game modes of the original
game is preserved in
the sequel. The basic task that you'll face most often is match 3 with
the unique twist.
You'll have not just to get the minimum number of matches or minimum
points. Your task is to
lead your little crab along a path by clearing tiles in front of him. In
the end you'll get
a reward, like a piece of puzzle, an additional life or some additional
money for upgrades. In some levels your crab will have a friend and
you'll need to lead them both along their
individual paths.
Of course, the further you progress
in the game, the more complicated the tasks become. You'll meet stones
preventing you from moving, chains preventing you from swapping certain
tiles etc. And, surely, there will be ways of dealing with the
obstacles. Some of them are
power-ups you earn during the game play. First you should collect all
puzzle pieces, then
solve a jigsaw puzzle (those are rather challenging, I must say), and
then you'll be able to
use it in matching levels after you match the necessary number of
certain characters (they
are different for each power-up).
Besides match 3 you will also play some traditional collapse levels, as
well as memory game
and bonus hidden object levels. As you proceed, you'll see all the
diverse tasks you'll be
offered.
As you earn some money during the game, there is supposed to be a place
to spend it. Here
you will build the dream home for a small charming mermaid and at the
same time buy new
inhabitants for your ocean view and also purchase additional lives for
yourself (they may be
needed if you choose to play Standard and not Relaxed mode).
I must also say a couple of words about the graphics and animation of
the game. Here they
are: Just Gorgeous!
Are you still there? Personally I'm on my way to explore Hidden Wonders
of the Depths 2!
