Mah Jong Quest - Classic Mahjong
How about a journey to China? In Mahjong Quest, you are to help young Kwazi restore peace in the Chinese Empire. iWin, Mah Jong Quest's developer, offers you classic Mah Jong with over 80 varying layouts both for Windows and MacOS.
Interesting story and new gameplay twists make Mah Jong Quest an attractive and intellectual game.
You travel through villages guided by spirits. Your primary task is to match golden Yin and Yang tiles, which are special kinds of tiles.
In this game you are a child hero, making a journey through 12 different lands with the help of spirit guides, represented by all the animals from the Chinese zodiac, and special tiles. Here you've got two special tiles you are to match: the golden Yin and Yang.
Uncover and match these two tiles and the rest if the tiles will vanish scoring you more points than matches of simple tiles. This adds an element of strategy to the game: you have to leave alone the tiles that can be matched and focus only on those that will help you to match the Yin and Yang tiles.
Use other special tiles wisely to complete the levels.
There are some other special tiles on the board that can help you.
Among those is dynamite that destroys stone walls that block your way or a magnet that can pull any tile you want even if the tile is covered.
All of these tools are really helpful when you go through the higher levels.
Apart from those you have all-time helpers - hint and undo.
You are free to choose out from 88 various layouts and 5 modes for traditional Mah Jong.
For the traditional Mah Jong game fans, Mah Jong Quest has over 80 different layouts that can be played in 5 different modes:
1. In Classic mode you play according to the standard Mah Jong rules;
2. While playing Speed mode you are to match all visible tiles immediately;
3. In Scramble mode, if no match is possible or it takes you too long to find tiles to match, tiles switch places randomly;
4. Memory mode has all tiles hidden and you can see them only while your cursor is on them;
You have to move your mouse around the screen in Ghost mode to make tiles appear.
You are free to choose the scene for the background as well.
Decide which one you'll enjoy most: Mountain Tops, Seascape, Sundown or All together.
It's fun to choose one of those picturesque scenes and see as it gradually appears as you clear the board from tiles.
Nice music, charming graphics and traditional mahjong puzzles, that get harder with each level, make Mah Jong Quest addictive and worth trying.
