Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall - Watch Out...They're Around
This game, Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall, developed by Gameshastra and published by Big Fish Games,
has its pros and cons (just like most of the casual games), but it
definitely will be a unique experience considering the main theme.
Imagine one day your life changes in a dramatic way with no option to get back.
This is what has
happened with our main character, Claire. The first time we meet her
lying on the stairs after being attacked by a creature.
The
details of the accident she finds out much later with the help of a
young man named Alonso. He explains to her what has happened and takes her
under his supervision.
Why
would she need that? Because she has been attacked by a vampire and now
her only option is to create a special "Essence" to become a nocturnal.
Otherwise she becomes one of those evil creatures.
The
overall look of the game matches the theme very well. The music is
quite modern and fits the urban scenes. The graphics are in the comic
form and the look of the characters is not the one you would want to be
se by your children.
The
way the girls are dressed up and the life style they have is more for
an adult game. Look at the screenshots to see what I mean.
The
game offers mosly hidden object levels with several mini-games in
between. The seek-and-find part isn't that easy, especially because of
the hits limit and especially in the timed mode where you get 6 seconds
off your time for random clicking.
The
mini-games are nothing extremely new but may be a great challenge. The
are a straightforward memory card game, a lock-picking game, and
finally,
a Simon Says-style memory game.
This is all about Nocturnal: Boston Nightfall. With all its high- and "low"lights the game is special with its dark and gloomy theme.
