Romancing
the Seven Wonders: Great Pyramids
There are people who believe that those who lived way back to Adam were
actually much smarter than us today. Even though they didn't have
laptops and iPods.
This would be a great argument to explain why Romancing the Seven
Wonders: Great Pyramids is so challenging, if you just take into account
the era of the game story.
It is definitely takes to be smart to
make somebody disappear many years from your time.
In this game from
Gameshastra you are to save your sister, Brianna
Hastings, who has been trapped in an ancient tomb. This whole situation
goes way back to the times of the Old Kingdom, King
Amenhotep IV, Queen Nefertiti and other fellows you are to deal with.
In other words this is another game where one of the science sibling is
saving the other. The game mostly consist of hidden object levels with
mini-games in between.
The game starts with an opening movie, but if you don't want it just
click three times. In every level you are to look for the scarabs.
Finding 36 of them will let you unlock a special puzzle at the end of
the game. The hint system works very simple - use it as much as you
want, but only when it is recharged.
And you might need to use it quite often since the items here are hidden
quite good. Some of them are very small or too transparent. Moving the
cursor around the screen you find the areas you can go to when the
cursor changes to an arrow.
The mini-games may seem a little tough too, but still solvable. It just
depends on the hidden-object/puzzle experience I guess. The first one is
about hieroglyphics tiles. You are to remove the tiles, from the board,
that are shown at the top. You'll
play 10 rounds, of 5 tiles, and have 10 seconds to clear each round.
That's not hard, but neither it is easy.
The graphics are all themed and the locations are all down to the theme.
They are bright but may be a bit blurry at times which isn't fun when
you are to find some tinny-tiny items.
It may be better try the free hour first
to have a better idea of the game to see if you want to buy it.
