The_Count_of_Monte_CristoThe Count of Monte Cristo - Classic Story In A New Form

Those who are familiar with this story by Alexander Dumas' have some ideas about the game. And they are quite right - it really is about the events and characters of the famous novel.

The Count of Monte Cristo, developed and published by FindHiddenObjects.com, is a classic story intwined into a hidden-object content with lots of mini-games inbetween.

You are to search different locales in order to find those guilty of the crimes commited against Edmond Dantes.

The_Count_of_Monte_CristoSo the game does contain some parts of this great novel. I would say that the whole game is saturated with the atmosphere of the novel.

But it's not like you can enjoy the whole depth of the original story with all the feelings and ambitions involved. And that's quite fair, isn't it? If you need the whole thing - read the book, right?

For example, the places you are to search are the ones mentioned in the book. You are to go throuhg more than 20 different scenes to find out who of the suspects is guilty of crimes commited against Dantes.

As to the pictures, some of them are so very picturesque filled with 19th century stuff. Though sometimes they are not quite clear, wich makes it a bit difficult to see and find the items. Thus you need to use your hints.

There is also a number of mini-games for each level. They are absolutely different and the range is quite wide.

The_Count_of_Monte_CristoAs to the mini-games, there are different types of them. They include match-three games, jigsaw puzzles, card games, Sudoku puzzle, tile swaping game etc.

You actually can skip those in every level, but it's going to cost you 10 minutes off your time. The levels are timed, so you must be careful with how you use the given time.

In fact, there are two modes in the game that differ in the time you have for the levels. They are - Normal Time and Extended Time.

So if you are not sure about being able to do the level within a certain time limit, you'd better choose the Extended Time mode. Otherwise you'll have to play the whole level over again and that's quite a lot of time.

That's a quick review of the game to give you a general idea of the whole thing. It's up to you to decide how good it is for you.
