Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children
If you ever played or heard about the world-famous simulator game Virtual Villagers, you might know that this game has a very noble purpose - to help the tribe to survive on an island. But this time we're glad to present you the second version of it called Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children that uncovers a totally different and yet more gripping story.
So, you are again on the island of Isola, which seems to be explored and very familiar, but for those who have played the first version of the game, of course. Western part of this land still hides in caves and woods. One of them is a tribe of starving children lost in the cave of this mysterious island.
From the very beginning be ready to find some significant changes, which occurred to the game heroes.
First of all children became to resemble their parents. What's more, they have got an ability not only to gather mushrooms, but also to collect.
They can make a collection of some shells, butterflies, pebbles etc.
At the same time, human evolution reached their parents. People discovered such skills as parenting (instead of breeding) or engineering (instead of constructing).
Villagers changed primordial spirituality into the developed culture. Besides, they started to explore their land and still were occupied in science, medicine and farming.
If you want them to do something just click on them with the mouth and make a needed action.
In such a way tribe representatives may be taught fishing (by dropping them into the ocean), or farming (simply show him what to do) or anything required to survive and prosper.
The most interesting feature which brings Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children closer to reality is characters' visual emotions and behavior.
You can now know their facial expression.
Your islanders get older, bear children, work, learn something, acquire useful skills and of course die...
You should be rather attentive and careful to the ones you care, as in the real world.
Like usual people, Virtual Villagers may occur to be talented and skilled in one deal and not manage another one.
In such a case, you should have them try their hand in something else.
They will show much better results if everything is done properly.
You can use help or hints while the whole game or simply click on the hero to get the full information about him/her.
And good news for "always-busy" gamers: the game continues if you just leave the game for a couple of hours.
Just like in Fish Tycoon and other great games by LDW software, in Virtual Villagers 2 the game is in continuously in progress, regardless of the fact you play it or not.
Graphics and sound background are rather lovely and enjoyable.
