2 Tasty - 2 Challenging
2 Tasty is a fun cute game that is hard to be limited to a certain genre. Some of it is about searching for items, but at the same time you are rushing back and forth at the kitchen trying to finish dishes as fast as you can.
This is what makes the game so addictive and fresh as well as bright and challenging.
You get to be a chef at your friend's restaurant.
You play as a young girls who was just chosen the best chef and soon after that was invited by her friend to be a chef at his restaurant.
She willingly and joyfully agrees to join his new business. The story is told in between the levels telling you how their business as well as relationship develops.
The levels go in a strange way. When you hear about a cooking game you immediately think about those crazy time-management games, but things are a bit different here. You see the kitchen clattered with lots of stuff you need for cooking. When a customer comes you get a list of items you need to cook a dish for them. The items for the dish are the ones that clutter the kitchen.
So if you want to finish the level without failing it, you need to hurry and find the ingredients as fast as you can. This part makes it quite an unusual kind of a time-management game.
The items are placed at the same places for many levels in a row. So you kind of get used to it and can find whatever you need quite fast. Moreover you can think ahead and take everything you need for all of the orders and can find in one part of the screen and then go to other parts getting the rest of what you need.
Once you used a certain ingredient, it disappears for a short period of time, but then reappears again. And most of the items are duplicated on the screen.
Even though you stay with the same screen for some time, new ingredients are being added in the orders making you have to get used to them. What increases the challenge is that you have very little room for being slow here.
The graphics are all cute and colorful making it look like a cartoon with you being a part of it.
