Cake Mania: Lights, Camera, Action - Another Episode
Sandlot Games just don't want to stop with Cake Mania series! And why would they? The story just keeps unveiling letting us be the observers of Jill's life. Cake Mania: Lights, Camera, Action captures the next period of our main characters, and also it gives a few hours of hectic cooking and serving fun.
Maternity leave is not an option when you have tons of hungry actors in town.
Jill is about to become a mother, but there is no way she can leave her business and go and relax in an anticipation of the big event. No, our girl stays at the restaurant working like crazy.
What gives an extra craziness is the fact that there is a movie crew in town filming another this time modern version of Pride and Prejudice. The word "modern" is key to understanding why you see karate fighters and ballet dancers in your diner.
Baking cakes is still the main activity for the 60 levels of this release. So don't worry, you won't miss baking the base, applying icing and toppers. Jill works a lot, but not as much as before, or at least she just stays in one place all the time.
This gets Jack running like hell all around the kooking area. This is a great help and compensation for Jill's sitting, but it also leads to him breaking the equipment. The broken equipment works half of its potential. Repairing it fixes the problem, but as always you need to pay for that.
The game offers you many upgrades in between the levels for the equipment and other useful things. The healthy fruit toppings made by Jill is the way to introduce a mini-game into the game. When a customer requests such a topping you'll play a
short mini-game on the fly that involves clicking on dots to squirt
icing in the correct pattern.
Backing is the main part in the game, but not the only one. You will also get to help out Risha's fashion boutique and Gordo's pizza joint. Those two locations add a different game play, which is nice for a change. Each one spreading over 25 levels making 110 in total.
The customers are not just a fun part of the game, they also serve as a source of strategizing and quick thinking motivation for you, which is great for the genre.
That's Cake Mania: Lights, Camera, Action in a nutshell. Play it yourself to make your choice.
