Caribbean Pirate Quest - Match-Three
Adventure
The Caribbean Pirate Quest's theme was chosen very well by the
developers of the game. Spell of Play Studios provided us with a pirate
adventure entwined into a match-three game.
You are to prove yourself to be a successful, if I can say so, pirate
captain.
You find yourself aboard a ship. A pirate ship. And you are a
captain. As a true pirate you search for treasures. You do that by deciding
where to go looking at your map. You choose a destination and play a
match-three game there.
By completing matching levels, you get some hints as to
where to go to get treasures. You are going to find different things like
weapons, cash, ship upgrades and even new maps. Your crew is going to be your judge
as to how good you are. So try hard if you don't want to be thrown overboard.
Despite the interesting adventure in search of treasures, the match-three
part does get monotonous.
As to the match-three levels, they are quite typical. You get a familiar
board. The task is to clear the board of all blue tiles. You do that by
matching pirate-themed items. The cool twist was to make every items type sound
different.
But even with that in mind, all components of the game together make it
quite entertaining and addictive.
I guess this short review of the game helps
match-three fans and the ones who are not make up their minds as to what they
are going to do about Caribbean Pirate Quest.
