Carrie the Caregiver - Action Game For Baby-Sitters
After graduating from a nurse school, Carrie joins Caregivers International - together with this organization she is to travel over 5 continents and to take care of babies in maternity wards. Newborn creatures are noisy and fussy and the girl is to learn to care for them to raise a definite sum of money.
So, as in other games of customer service type, you purpose is to quickly attend young clients. The happier the baby is, the tighter your purse is filled.
First of all, as babies arrive, mind their general ‘condition' - all newborns have a certain amount of hearts indicating the level of their health. If you hesitate to take care of babies, the weak ones will immediately lose all hearts and an intensive care may be required. Sick baby must be treated with medicine from aid cabinet.
Start from diapering babies - put them at special swaddling tables paying attention at the tables colors.
By putting the newborn at the table of the same color as his nappies, you'll earn extra bonuses.
Once your little clients are diapered, you'll need to feed them - remove bottles of milk from the refrigerator and don't forget to warm them up!
When the child has finished eating, collect the empty bottles and put them in a dishwasher.
As a final treat, you have to get rid of the dirty diaper left behind on the table.
Mind that there are different baby-types - special notes indicating peculiar features of a newborn are attached to some babies' nappies.
Some baby-types need extensive care. Hungry babies require double-feeding, fussy babies' cup of patience runs out very quickly; loud babies disturb the others around them with loud crying while delicate babies become sick if you touch them with dirty hands.
Mind a special indicator of your hands' ‘cleanness' at the bottom of the playing field. Apart from maintaining sanitation level high, Carrie has to think of her energy. As she moves, she loses energy. To keep her moving quickly, don't forget to eat snacks offered through the door.
To pass each level you are given a definite time period. Besides, there is a target number of points to be scored every day.
Once Carrie manages to fulfill all her responsibilities (including maintaining her own hygiene, as washing hands), she'll pass the level and move on to another continent with a unique setting.
Power-ups like ‘aid hands' from behind the door come in hand.
These aid hands will be offering you not only food and drinks but also other useful items, like roller skaters allowing you to move faster or a mobile which puts a baby to sleep for a while. As Carrie progresses through levels, she is also given other power-ups like extra tables, an extra bottle warming station, new toys to distract the babies, food restoring energy, soap that restores sanitation level.
Game animation is very nice - babies are cute and natural sounding. Smooth gameplay leads you through 50 levels, allowing to visit 5 stunning destinations with unique settings. But with its baby-caring theme the game targets primarily women risking to leave men audience indifferent.
