City Style - It's Not About Challenge
City Style is for those who get attracted by lots of clothes, shoes, good-looking people, fashion etc.
You are to try and get to the position of Assistant Editor-in-Chief. That's not that easy when there's tons of work to be done right now and right here. Plus the position requires you to know and be able to do it all.
The story of the game is totally based on the Devil wears Prada movie.
Here you have the same situation - a young girl wants to become an assistant to a witch-like boss.
Just like in the movie the boss is evil, the girl is out of fashion, BUT smart enough to get the position.
The game goes in stages. It was funny to see how the poor girl got to do so many tasks even before she got to an interview itself.
Most of the levels are hidden object. They go in two types. In some you are collecting all of the items of the same type. In others you get a list of items to find. The list can show either the words or the silhouettes.
The hidden object levels are not very challenging even though some of the silhouettes are very abstract and not helping.
Then there are also all kinds of puzzles to go through. Some of them are ridiculously easy, others are fine. This only adds to the general feeling of the game being too easy.
The main character meets different people including the boss and interacts with them. Those dialogues can be skipped, but what's left then?
The graphics are not bad. The game can be really attractive to the girls only because all you see is clattered rooms, clothes, shoes, makeup etc. The sounds and music do not irritate but serve as a good background.
The game is not as good as it could have been, but if you are not a hidden object guru and are interested in fashion get the trial version to see if you want more.
