Dark Parables: The Thief and the Tinderbox Collector's Edition

Eipix Entertainment has just released a new addition to Dark Parables series. It is a hidden object puzzle adventure game series with a fairy tale story. The series has been around for a long time. If you are new to it, you hav a lot to explore, if you are well familiar, you will be glad to see some of the characters from the previous games.

You soon realize that the arsonist who wants to not let the wedding ever happen is after an ancient artifact with immense power (it's the tinderbox that has been hunted and protected for a long time).

In Dark Parables: The Thief and the Tinderbox Collector's Edition, you play as a detective called in to investigate the fires set in the kingdom's forests. There was definitely an arsonist behind and you need to find him. It is not going to take that much time. You will soon meet him and be a little bit suprised. All of this happens right before the wedding of a prince.

The story doesn't stop there. You soon realize that the arsonist who wants to not let the wedding ever happen is after an ancient artifact with immense power (it's the tinderbox that has been hunted and protected for a long time). There is a lot to do in this game for you as you learn one piece of the story after another. It is fun to see some old characters and meet some new ones. 

The game's graphics are beautiful. They feature a lot of detail and really immerse you into this fairy tale atmosphere with kingdoms and old-European looking houses. The music and voice overs are great, too. The usual media extras, like concept art, videos, and music are up for download at the end of the game. You get access to a map and a strategy guide as you start playing.

There are four modes of play (Casual, Hard, Insane, and Custom) with adjustable hints (10-120 seconds) and skips (10-400 seconds). The hidden object scenes (you are going ot love them if you are a fan of FROGS) and puzzles are well thought through, well designed. The puzzles vary in kind and difficulty to please the gamers of with different skill level. 21 puzzle and 17 HOP scenes are up for replay. You collect signs and puzzle pieces and get to earn 12 achievements.
