Darkness and Flame: Born of Fire Collector's Edition

There is a new hidden object puzzle adventure game with a fantasy story - Darkness and Flame: Born of Fire Collector's Edition. It is a fascinating story of a young girl protecting her land (The whole thing sounds a bit like Katniss's story, but who cares when you love fantasy?)

This is not one of the dark mystery games. This one is colorful and picturesque with many beautiful scenes of the kingdom.

You home was attacked by some evil invaders who steal and kill. Your father dies at their hands right in from of your eyes. But before he dies he urges you to go and find your uncle Colin to save the land. 

It is a dangerous adventure for a young girl, but these days most of the superheroes are female, so you don't really have another option. But you don't fight with your powers alone, you possess a firebird's power after you find one in an egg. You get a tattoo as a symbol of that power, that you get to use at certain moments in the game. You are going to travel to many parts of teh kingdom to clear it from the evil invaders.

The game provides a map and a detailed strategy guide for you to use. There are three difficulty modes: Easy, Normal, and Hard. While there is no Custom mode, you can actually customize the game to your skill and liking. The hints and skips are adjustable as typical for collector's editions. The game's difficulty level is not the same in all of its parts.

The puzzles seem to be quite easy. They outnumber the hidden object scenes that are very interactive and puzzle-like. There is a lot for the fans of puzzles here. Both hidden object scenes and puzzles are up for replay when you are done.

The game has quite a lot of collectibles (all kinds of things there - birds, capsules, feathers etc...), that are not so easy to detect.  Then there are 35 morphing objects, which is almost 100 items total with the collectibles. You can earn 20 achievements in this game and download many different media extras, like wallpaper, music, concept art etc...

It is a neat fantasy game that will be suitable for adult and children audience alike as long they like fantasy.
