Destiny Architect - Tetris With New Twists
Destiny Architect developed by
Big Fish Games is a challenging Tetris-style game.
The game concept isn't new,
but it's quite interesting because some twists and the story.
You are to go to the Alchemy
and Magic Academy to construct different
buildings using your magic power.
You play as a young girl who
finds out that she is enchanted and she has some magic powers.
She decided to
leave her home in order to go to the Alchemy and Magic Academy. After she gets there she is asked to build a building all the time because she is pretty good
at it.
So that's what you are actually
busy with through all the game.
The game is represented by only one mode of
play. All the levels are shown on the map where you choose where to go next.
There are some twists of this
Tetris-style game that make it quite challenging.
As to the building process,
you get a board divided into squares. Some of the squares are green, the rest
are yellow.
The green ones make up the shape of the building and it means that
you are to fill the whole shape without getting out of it and without leaving
any empty spaces.
If you think of this, you'll understand that it means that
you are given not just random shapes but those that must fit the building shape
perfectly.
So, as you see, if you want to complete the level perfectly then you
have to think twice when you are placing the shapes. Moreover you can not turn the shapes, which makes it difficult.
There are also some power-ups that are very
helpful. For example, the very first one is the Tip power-up. If you put a
shape on it while it's still on the board, you are shown the best places for a
few next shapes. And there is also a Shop where you can buy some useful stuff,
like fireballs, for example.
