Enlightenus II: The Timeless Tower
You are going to like this game. If you are a beginner at the genre, you will like it just because of the quality and the challenge and, I bet, many other things. If you played tons of hidden object games, you are going to like this game even more. Trust me.
Enlightenus II: The Timeless Tower invites you to travel to different eras in order to accomplish the task you have been given and get what you were promised.
Keep reading if you wanna know the twist of this game...
You will follow some of the events of a young woman's daylife who decided to leave a small town and become a reporter in a big city. She is quite successful in what she is doing, and one day she meets someone who can offer her sensational story just for her help.
This someone is Clarence Flatt and he is a very respected clock maker in old age. He needs you to help him collect the pieces of a clock that he made long ago. The clock collapsed during the construction in an abandoned tower. That is the place where the adventures take place.
Well, not quite exactly. You see, the clock was supposed to work without a stop. And now every piece scattered around the tower can take you to a different time and place in human history. Mini-games take place in between the major levels as you would expect from a modern hidden object game.
Now finally about that twist. The game does refers to the hidden object genre, but in a unique way. You don't get here a list of items you are to find on a scene. But instead you are given a list of items to place on a scene. So basically the roles are switched.
You have to guess the places where the items belong to through some logical associations. Some of them are deceiving at first sight, but it is totally addicting and fresh if you are played so many "classic" hidden object games.
There are some things to search for thought. Some of them are scattered around the tower and should be found to open up new areas. Those are easy to find, but there are also e-cards that can recharge your hints meter instantly. Those are really challenging.
The collector's edition features some extras, like a free soundtrack and a sneak peek at Enlightenus 3, wallpapers etc...
