Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin

Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin Collector's Edition is a creation of Vast Studios, which made the popular Nightfall Mysteries and Dark Canvas series. This cool Adventure, Hidden Object, Match 3, Time Management, Puzzle game is set in a fantasy land full of magic and wonderful creatures.

If you are familiar with Vast Studios, then you’ve already got a taste for what to expect from this game.

Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin

King Rigel has appointed you as ambassador to deliver a marriage proposal from his son, Armus, Prince of Aeria to Selene, Princess of Tida. You take a flying tiger to an exotic far away land where you have to collect hidden objects and put them together to gain access to a castle.

You meet with Maeria the royal healer, who tells you what to do from there. Things take a turn for the worse, though. Princess Selene has been having nightmares about the future of the kingdom. The nightmares say that if she gets married, then the kingdom is kaput. The princess falls into depression unto death, so the queen strikes up a spell that if the princess dies, then so do you! Now you get to save the princess, the kingdom, and yourself in this exciting adventure game.

Forgotten Kingdoms: Dream of Ruin The game has a Tolkienesc feel to it. It is set in a royal setting in a fantastic land of mythical creatures and magic. All of the art is easy on the eyes, but my favorite scene is the part of the game that takes place in a library. There is also a cool armor room in chapter five that is a worthy contender. The collector’s edition stands out.

It has the standard strategy guide and media, whatever, but this particular game’s collector’s edition comes with kingdom cards that will unlock bonus trivia and an extra chapter in which you get to help Chara become the Mistress of the Elements.

Forgotten Kingdoms live up to the standards of the series that have come before it. I hope that they continue making games to see what happens to the characters next. It’s an interestingly twisted story.
