Grim Tales: The Time Traveler Collector's Edition

The Grim Tales series has just been updated with a new addition, Grim Tales: The Time Traveler Collector's Edition. This new game sets a new challenge before Anna Grey. There's a new villain in town and he is able to time travel, too! A new big adventure for Anna and the fans of the series and the genre in general.

The game's graphics are beautiful as usual. Both the indoor and outdoor scenes are detailed and colorful.

Family gatherings can be tough, but nothing compares to discover your niece and nephew murdered instead of a nice family barbeque. As you were driving to the even, you first almost got into a car crash and then you discovered the tragedy.

Anna quickly realizes that it is time to do the family ritual and time travel back before it all happened to fix things. But the revenge-seeking murderer surprises her with the fact that he can time travel, too. Anna needs to outwit the guy to really fix things because her entire family is in danger now.

The game's graphics are beautiful as usual. Both the indoor and outdoor scenes are detailed and colorful. The music and sound effects add to the atmosphere. As to the two main parts of the gameplay, the hidden object scenes and the mini-games, Elephant Games do not seem to offer anything extremely unique or new.

The hidden object scene very in the types of search and the mini-games are fun. There is no substitute for the hidden object scene for those who don't really care for them. Each scene has a  morphing object to find. Some of the scenes have a puzzle piece to complete a screensaver. 

You also get to collect statues of family members and learn who is who and how they are related. It does not sound like a whole lot of fun, but it kind of helps if you are really into the series. Elephant Games have released well over a dozen of games for this series, so you might as well figure it out.

There are also achievements to earn and a bonus chapter to get into when you are done with the main game. The game gives an abundance of media extras (music, concept art, soundtrack, wallpaper etc).

Grim Tales: The Time Traveler Collector's Edition is a fun game that is worth checking out. It is one of the hit series out there.
