Haunted Legends: The Black Hawk Collector's Edition
ERS Games have just released a new game to the Haunted Legends series. Haunted Legends: The Black Hawk Collector's Edition is a new adventure for you to embark. It is a dark mystery story that needs are skilled investigator like you to prevent new murders.
The hand-drawn style scenes and the dramatic music create the atmosphere that you need for a story like that.

You play as a royal special service investigator who is sent to Bordeaux to solve the case of missing monks at a monastery. In addition to that, you are to protect a visiting cardinal. Pretty soon you find out that there is somebody working against you and trying to get to an important artifact. The person might also be connected to the cardinal that you are protecting. There are events from the past that you are going to discover to understand the motives behind everything that's happening.

The game's audio-visual presentation is pretty good. The hand-drawn style scenes and the dramatic music create the atmosphere that you need for a story like that. The game features four modes of difficulty: Casual, Advanced, Hard, and Custom. You can adjust the skips and hint from 5 to 200 seconds.

The gameplay leans toward the adventure and puzzles rather than hidden object scenes. The hidden object scenes are not many but they are quite diverse and well thought through. Some of them are multi-step ones.
The puzzles vary a lot, too, and not only in the type of the task you need to do but also in the challenge levels. You are provided with a map and strategy guide to help you navigate the game.
As if the challenge level is not high enough there are also 12 achievements to earn along the game and quite a few collectibles to find. You need to keep an eye on tokens (35 total) and on the morphing objects (34 total). Both hidden objects scenes and the puzzles are up for replay. And you get all the usual media extras, like concept art and wallpaper.
It is a wonderful mystery story adventure for the fans of the hidden object puzzle adventure genre.
