Hide & Secret 2: Cliffhanger Castle - a blend of adventure and humour!
The wave of sequels continues with the second part of a hidden object game that used to be quite popular after release - Hide & Secret 2: Cliffhanger Castle. The game preserves the fascinating game play of the first part while offering some new twists and new puzzles. You will meet the same characters and the story is not less engaging, taking you to lots of
locations all over the world in the search of King Arthur's lost armor.
In this game you are going to meet Will Scout and Anna Lyze again. And they are up to a new
thrilling adventure.
The Society of Kings has decided to turn a medieval castle into the Museum of Treasures, and Anna and Will agreed to help in collecting the needed items. But nothing is that simple as
it seems. Accidentally they release Merlin, the powerful wizard of Camelot, who tells them
about the lost armor of the legendary King Arthur, and gives them a task to find it. At the full Moon they come to Stonehenge, the ancient place of power in Great Britain, and see a
mysterious message telling them to look for Montezuma's Skeleton key... Time to go to
Mexico! So, our heroes depart to examine the Aztec settlements on the opposite side of the
Atlantic Ocean. Here everything starts. Later in the game they will learn... But no, I'm not
telling you this. There should be some intrigue left, right?
The game play of Cliffhanger Castle offers wide variety of mini-games as well as traditional
hidden object levels. Hidden object levels are not limited in time, which is not quite usual
for such games, but that is balanced by the small number of hints. Be careful when using
them - or once you'll find yourself without any help... On some hidden object levels you'll
encounter obstacles preventing you from seeing everything clearly, such as a ghost in a
haunted house or a huge fire-spitting serpent following you, for example. Some hidden object
tasks are very unusual - what do you say about catching parachutes among other things
falling from a crashed plane or searching for fragments of pictograms in an antique stone?
And, while playing, take your time to read the Adventure Log where you can get not just
useful information about the details of your search and your next steps, but also funny
comments from the characters. I wondered for long when Anna was going to get her burrito she
mentions in every message!
The graphics of the second part is significantly improved as compared to the first one, and
the story is even richer and more exciting. I could say the game is really worth the
popularity of the first part.
