Home Sweet Home 2: Kitchens and Baths - Full Creativity Freedom!
Dee Ziner and Bill Dur welcome you again in the second part of Home Sweet Home - a game
combining elements of interior design and time-management. The sequel is much better than
the original game. It has all the wonderful features of the first one, offers you much more
freedom and is way better balanced.
Welcome back to the world of interior design and creavity!
The story and game play of the second part are basically the same as in the first part. You
are an interior designer and your task is to create the rooms your customers will feel
comfortable in. Only this time you'll deal with kitchens and baths instead of living rooms.
As in the first part, you have a client giving you sometimes quite cryptic tasks, a budget,
the minimum number of items to be placed in the room and a Customer Saticfaction Meter to
assess the fitness of your design. While creating your design you have an opportunity to
change the color scheme of your items - a feature absent on the first part of the game. It
widens your options significantly. As in the original release, you choose an item, place it
in the needed location of the room, rotating it, if necessary. You can also sell unnecessary
items and boost your budget this way. Your Customer Satisfaction Meter will tell you whether
you are moving in the correct direction. Once you reach the Pass Line and buy the obligatory
number of items you can start building.
Tip: try to fill the Meter to 100% - you'll get more money for this and will be able to unlock more furniture for your own apartment.
But let's talk a bot more about the main game. After you are satisfied with the design you
are welcome to start building. Here the arcade part starts. You'll meet the same three
workers, assign them to work on certain items and be limited with your deadline. They will
need coffee and tools, which is also familiar. But, though in Home sweet Home this part of
game play raised the most negative comments, it has been significantly improved in the
sequel. First of all, you don't have to build 100% of the room in order to pass a level.
Here you'll also have Build Meter with the Pass Line. Just reach it - and you are done! One
more pleasant novelty is the possibility to take trash to the bin by yourself. Actually, now
building the house is much more comfortable and gives you much more fun.
One more great feature that adds much value to the game is your own apartment. Here you get
the maximum freedom you can imagine. You have all the items you have unlocked, three rooms
to furnish - the kitchen, the bathroom and the living room from the first game - and no
charges for anything! You can take a shoot of your room designs in addition to your client
portfolio and even change the floor plane of your rooms - it's absolute fun! You can redo
your apartment as many times as you wish - and create the home of your dreams!
Haven't tried Home Sweet Home 2: Kitchens and Baths yet? It's perfect time to do it!
