Jewel Quest Solitaire 2 - Relaxing Challenge
The solitaire card game fans all over the world have been taken care of by iWin in a very special way.
Having supplied us with Jewel Quest Solitaire, it's now giving us an opportunity to get into a mahjong/match challenge in Jewel Quest Solitaire 2.
You are to match cards on mahjong-like layouts. You can match either cards of the equal value or cards of the preceding or following value.
The story of the game is related to the story of all Jewel Quests a lot. At least the characters are the same.
The story begins with Emma heading to Africa to find out what has happened with her husband (pretty close to the Jewel Quest 2, isn't it?). So as you proceed, you get more of the story.
The game play itself represents a kind of a combination of the mahjong and match types of games.
There are piles of cards on the board for you. The layouts may be absolutely various reminding mahjong style a lot. And the thing here is that the mahjong principle works here - you have to get rid of the top cards in order to get to the ones underneath. This adds a piece of a strategy to the game. You need to be careful in order not to get non-matching cards, like Queen, 6, and 3, left.
The top cards are face-up and your task is to pair up all of the equal cards, like two 7s, for example, or cards of a preceding or following value, like 6 and 7.
There are different helpers for you in this game.
There are three cards at the bottom of the screen that can be very useful. They can be used when you are out of cards for matches on the board or when it's strategically better.
There's also a deck of cards next to them. You are to take the new three cards from it for matching. There's always a number near the deck showing you the remaining number of cards.
There will also be different power-ups, like jokers and points multipliers, to help you on your way to the victory.
Having completing every level you are to play a match-three mini-game. The thing here is that you are limited in moves, and your task is to turn all the board gold by matching the tiles. So it also takes a kind of a strategy to accomplish it.
The game can be played in one of two modes. One of them is a story mode and the other one is with cards only.
The graphics as well as the sounds and music of the game are very good. Jewel Quest Solitaire 2 is a good pastime for match/mahjong/solitaire fans.
