Jewel Quest Solitaire III - This Time in Cambodia!
All the fans of the Jewel Quest series, today you have a great reason to be happy! Welcome
the new installment of the series - Jewel Quest Solitaire III! This time you'll meet some
new characters and move to Cambodia, but all the attractions of the previous games are
preserved, like addictive and challenging game play (though there is a significant twist in
it), stunning graphics and rich story.
Do you remember Rupert and Emma? They are back to Africa!
But their friend, Ratu Edward Kadanu, is on a dangerous expedition in Angkor Vat, Cambodia,
trying to explore the mysterious ancient tablet he has found in ruins, and reveal its
secrets and the treasure it holds. The disappearance of his young and beautiful assistant
Yumi is just the first link in the chain of unusual events that start happening once he
commences his work. But I won't tell you much about the story, I just have to note that it
is as rich and engaging as you would expect from a Jewel Quest title. Enjoy!
As to the game play, you can choose one of the two modes: Full Quest or Just Cards. The
names speak for themselves. The main game play that takes most playing time is the solitaire
part. It's as addictive as it is challenging, as you have to think hard from the very first
level. But much depends on your like and the cards arrangement in the deck and stacks. The
solitaire is of Klondike type, which is definitely classics. But there are also some
significant twists that make it much more fun. First, you have five suits instead of four.
Then, there are some wild cards that can be used anywhere, as well as a possibility to earn
powerups, like shuffling, additional wilds or a look at underlying cards. There are also
obstacles, like buried cards which also require a powerup to be accessible. All this can
sound a bit complicated, but once you grip it, you'll definitely see it's much more fun than
usual solitaire.
Tip: try to put cards to the deck only when you see you have enough for a powerup - in some
levels they are indispensable.
After you are through with your cards, you'll be presented with the traditional match 3
task. Nothing new here, except for the powerups. But still a nice change of efforts. In each
level you'll also have to reassemble parts of an artifact photo. Every stage you get one
photo, and later you'll have to locate the unlocked artifacts on their places according to
the hints on photos.
The visuals and sounds in Jewel Quest Solitaire III are of the high quality you could expect
in such a game, in the great style inherent to the previous titles.
Are you ready to plunge to your new adventure?
