Kings Legacy - Taking What Belongs To You
Kings Legacy is another game from Cateia Games. The game reminds the previous release, Shaman Odyssey, a lot.
You are to help a young prince get the kingdom that was taken over by a king's brother.
If you played Shaman Odyssey, this game will be familiar to you.
Here you're the prince who travels across the countryside
helping people and reclaiming his kingdom one village at a time across
24 levels.
Passing each level takes you to achieve certain
goals, such as building a level 3 cottage, collecting 50 coins, or
collecting 35 food. But before you can construct or upgrade a building for
the first time, you'll have to purchase its blueprint.
One of the familiar features would be the ability of the king to walk around collecting herbs
that you can use to brew potions that can help the villagers in some
way. Doesn't that sound weird for a king to do that?
You can also build giant forts in the middle of
town. Marauding knights will show up to attack your tower, and you must
fend them off by casting homemade fireball spells at them. As to the spells, they consist now of more complicated ingredients.
There is a merchant's hut in the game, where you can buy and sell
resources and magical ingredients. This is very helpful when you need something to finish the level. You just go and buy it now.
The navigating process is still a bit confusing, but the game still has some improvements from Shaman Odyssey. Even though it is still weird to talk about that other game that is supposed to have nothing to do with this one.
There is always a trial version to get a better idea of the game.
