Love Story: Letters From The Past
Game developers and publishers care for the gamers so much that they release new games to match the special days of our lives. Days like St. Valentines Day for example.
Hopefully you had a great time celebrating real love yesterday because today you have an opporunity to participate in somebody else's love story. Love Story: Letters From The Past is a hidden object game with a title giving away quite a lot of a story.
Getting letters from somebody who died is either a sign of insanity or of a story with an unexpected end.
You play as an old lady who just had her husband passed away. Coming home from the funeral she finds some package in her mailbox. That's where the weird thing starts.
One after another she keeps getting short notes or letters from her first husband who didn't get back from war. Weird as it seems, you are to find out where it leads you.
Most of the time you are going to spend playing the hidden object levels. The locations are not clattered with stuff. Most of the things are relevant to the scenes.
There is a hint system in the game that can be used by you any time when you need it and when it is recharged. Random clicking is punished by a few seconds of you cursor going a few rounds around the screen.
Practically all locations have one or more areas where something is locked or stuck or whatever else and you are to get it. It means that you need some inventory which will come from the items that you are to search for.
Then there will also be a purse where the items for a scrapbook will go for you to be used later. The main gameplay is broken by the mini-games. Some of them are quite average, some seem more unique, like helping her husband run away from the camp and not be caught by the lights.
The game is nice with good graphics and music. It might be a bit girly, but still fun.
