Making Mr Right - Hitch
The first thing Making
Mr Right reminded me was the Hitch movie, where the main character is
able to help any guy get the lady he wants.
Things are a bit different in this game from Gamers
Digital, but it is still fun and would be a great educational tool
by the way.
You are to get the data for the book of
Dr.Lady from the real life experiments.
Dr.Love is writing a book on the
relationships. She claims to be able to create, or rather, to fix the
existing men to make them be perfect matches for their ladies.
That needs
lots of training, as you can imagine. You will have to buy new
equipment for every level since every customer needs differing stations.
It seems a bit weird to start it all over from a scratch.
Sometimes
the girlfriends would bring the guys back for more work to be done on
them. That seems a bit offensive towards men as it makes them total
losers. This whole idea seems funny and fresh, but I am afraid the game
developers have cut off the male part of the market. But, I guess, the
same is with other time-management game about models or boutiques.
One of the annoying parts is the
waiting period while the bachelors' "love meters" fill up enough for a
marriage proposal. The fun breaks represented by puzzle mini-games fit
in there very well.
The
graphics of the game are bright and attractive, but may seem a bit
small for some.
Among the good things in this game is the part where you
read some of the "love tips" in the journal entries. Those things can
actually be used in the real life relationships, such as respecting one
another and embracing each other's differences
while using them to your and your partner's advantage to fortify a
relationship.
All in all the game is great just to
offer a fresh theme in the time-management genre.
