The hidden object genre usually uses pretty much of the same kinds of stories. And that is ok as long as the story is nicely laid out to gether with the flawless game play.
If one of those two is weak, the shine of the other one kind of fades away too.
The other types of puzzles are interwoven into the general gameplay so well that it creates a feeling of a new game type.

In Millionaire Manor: The Hidden Object Show things turn out to be very interesting. When you get to understand what's going on in regards to the story, it seems that they are kidding. But then you get to actually play the game to see that the gameplay is very polished and then you think - who said crazy unrealistic stories are bad?
Some crazy guy had kidnapped your grandpa and put him into a big bird cage. Guess who is now responcible for your grandpa's rescue. Yep! It's you. And you are going to do that by solving a great number of hidden object levels and also several puzzles. Oh one more thing, there are also a few other folks kidnapped by this psycho waiting for your help.

So you are agoing to move from one prisoner to another playing a number of freedom rounds for each of them. Before each round you spin the wheel to find out what kind of round you are going to play.
At first you have only a few of the rounds, like spot-the-difference or typical searches, but then you get more. There are also Bonus levels which you may get to play. Being successful in those you get a chance to get stuff, like additional hints, unlock chips or skips.
Assembling an unlock chip gives another kind of games on the wheel. Those are all different and fun with various tasks for you. While some of them are really innovative, others are quiteboring.

That's where the skips are useful. You just place a chip on a game type on the wheel, that you would rather not play.
The game is based on the hidden object searches most of the time. The other types of puzzles are interwoven into the general gameplay so well that it creates a feeling of a new game type.
The graphics and sounds of the game are absolutely amazing with all of the details performed so beautifully.
