Monarch: The Butterfly King
So, here is another hit game from the creators of Big Kahuna Reef. Monarch: The Butterfly King featuring a great number of unique butterfly kinds and juicy flowers. While playing through all 150 levels and matching these colorful items in rows, you'll watch fireworks of different flowers.
As every fairy-tale, the game has an engaging and unusual concept. "An unknown Wizard has entered my glade, captured my butterfly friend and stolen most of my power" - such inscription we find in the Monarch's Journal Entry...
The chief idea of Monarch: The Butterfly King is to set the kidnapped butterflies free by swapping adjacent tiles 3-in-row.
You can choose between the two modes: Action (with the limited period of a given time) and Relaxed one.
Besides, you should choose the playing space: Butterfly Kingdom, Secret Gardens and More Gardens.
But as always, more complicated levels can be accessed only upon completion of the introductory match-3 course.
Well, your task now is to create combinations of three or more tiles in a horizontal or vertical row by clicking on adjacent flowers to swap them.
Be ready to face specific metal plates. They will not let you complete the level unless you remove them by creating matches with the same metal plates or using some power-ups.
Phials of magic potions may help you to destroy them.
To get it, you should match 5 or more of the same piece. Than blow this bottle up by swapping it with any neighbor flower.
Remember, that you'll get more impressive visual effects if you swap potion with any non-locked piece instead of simply clicking on it.
But it's not as easy as you think. You'll also face the locked plates, which don't allow other flowers to fill the playing field.
To break the obstacles, just perform a simple thing: match locked flower with the same locked one.
The game keeps you glued to the fairy-tale. After almost every successful level you free one more wonderful butterfly and return Monarch his power. Besides, you may learn the thoughts and mood of the fairy Monarch from his Journal. So, there're a lot more than match clusters of three flowers,
Even if you want to share your match-3 experience with your friend, you'll have a chance to play a multiplayer mode of Monarch: The Butterfly King, called Mouse party. It allows playing some people even on one computer.
This match-3 puzzle stands in one row with well-known Big Kahuna Reef, Cradle of Rome, Bejeweled and other hits of the game industry. Its lovely music and quality, clear graphic design makes it rather relaxing and pleasant to play in. So, just play and make your own conclusion.
