Ominous Objects: Lumina Camera Collector's Edition

A new adventure with Mr. Jenkins! Daily Magic Productions have presented a new addition to the Ominous Objects series. Ominous Objects: Lumina Camera Collector's Edition is a wonderful new hidden object puzzle adventure game!

There is a bonus chapter where you get a chance to learn more about the lumina camera.

The story of the game starts out with you meeting Gerald Dewitt as he considers what his life is worth. As he feels like he failed at invention he meets a total stranger that gives him the camera that is allegedly going to bring him fame and help with his situation. But "magic always comes with a price".

The National Museum of France wants to exhibit the camera but wants to make sure that it is safe. As you investigate the camera you realize that it is an ominous object. When the camera takes pictures of people it captures them into another not so pleasant world.

There is a bonus chapter where you get a chance to learn more about the lumina camera. It is a neat story with a few interesting twists and a cat as a helper. Me Jenkins, the cat (for those who are not familiar with the series) using his cat skills can reach the items that you can not.

The game's audio-visuals are quite good. Most of the scenes are in blue and yellow colors. There are four modes of difficulty: Casual, Advanced, Hard, and Custom. You can adjust the hints and skips from 5 to 100 seconds. There is a map to follow. It is provided to you along the way.

The hidden object puzzle scenes are very well done. They offer a great variety of searches, some are quite short others are multi-step. The same can be said about the design of the puzzles. The thought and work behind them are evident. The only thing that could be better is a higher difficulty level.

As you go through this adventure you are to collect 45 morphing objects and 15 collectible pictures of the people who were photographed with the lumina camera. There are 21 achievements to earn and a bunch of media extras to download.
