Paradise - Lots Of Answers To Find
White Bird Productions has presented a new adventure game Paradise. The game has everything that the fans of the genre may expect from a game like that.
You are to go through a number of really challenging levels and to find the answers for just as challenging questions the main character has.
Ann Smith is the character you play as. Having gotten into a helicopter crash she is trying to find out who she is, what has happened and what to do next.
Suffering from amnesia Ann Smith is travelling from one place in Africa to another.
You play by moving Ann around the area to speak with characters, learn clues and collect objects to solve puzzles.
That is not that easily done. Sometimes you just feel abandoned in the game to figure out who you are to talk to and what you are to do, but still that's not impossible.
The puzzles are not that easy to solve too. You get what you are to do but you get later how exactly you are going to do that. But maybe that will only add taste to the game for those who are familiar with the genre far too well.
The game features an incredible atmosphere. From the cut scenes to the superbly detailed backgrounds, Paradise is a beautiful game to look at.
Though the backdrops are, for the most part, static, subtle touches like flowing fountains or swaying trees help bring the world to life, and give players a real incentive to explore.
Small things like a newspaper with the sudoku puzzle half-completed go a long way to making the game world feel more real. The only drawback is that a lot of the different areas in the game look similar, which can make it easy to get lost.
The combination of the personal story of Ann amidst all of the political drama makes for an interesting tale, and one with plenty of twists and turns that most won't see coming.
