Phantasmat: Mournful Loch Collector's Edition

The Phantasmat series is known for its high-quality hidden object puzzle adventure games. This is the series' eighth game and it will not disappoint the series and most of the genre fans! Phantasmat: Mournful Loch Collector's Edition is an HOPA game with an interesting story and a dreadful setting.

Your journey has a rough start when your boat capsizes and you awake on a shore.

In this new addition to the series, you play as an archaeology student who is researching an ancient artifact that belonged a family in Scotland. The family had their own castle, Logan's castle where they all were murdered at some point (this is what you see in the very beginning of the game. This game is for those who don't mind murder scenes and dark, creepy castles). What happened to the family's artifact is what you are after. But don't expect an easy solution to this mystery.

Your journey has a rough start when your boat capsizes and you awake on a shore. The boatman (who definitely looked strange) had warned you about the many treasure seekers who never came back from their attempt to find the valuable artifact.

Prepare for the many unknowns and a lot of supernatural in this great story! The game features four modes of play (Easy, Medium, Hard, and Custom) and adjustable hints (10-120 seconds) and skips (10-400 seconds). 

Hidden object scenes don't offer anything new, but they are very well designed and offer a great variety. Some are interactive, most are multi-step. Mini-games offer a great range of the difficulty level. Some seem quite innovative. There are achievements (12) and morphing objects (21) throughout the game as well as collectibles for your souvenir room. The game gives you a bonus chapter that tells you about the fate of the Logan's Castle. You also get all the usual media extras, like videos, concept art, music, wallpaper etc

It is a great game for those who are on the darker spectrum of the hidden object puzzle adventure genre.
